Richard Whiteley

One of my colleagues once worked in the Yorkshire TV buildings in Leeds. He used to walk past the embalmed body of Richard Whiteley in reception there every day, and rub his big toe for luck.

The luck must have held, as he eventually escaped Catherine Zeta Jones’ lair.

The body has now been removed to the ITV Museum, where it sits alongside Dusty Bin. As Dusty Bin has been decommissioned for some years now, it’s speculated that the embalming process may not have been as successful as Lenin’s.
